So I recently started reading X-Factor by... uh.. downloading torrents of it *cough* >_>
Since I never really read western comics. Except for a short wile I was reading Ultimate Spider-Man (torrents...). I just got back into reading that one, and will be picking up #130 next week.
Before reading X-Factor I read MadroX 1-5 (his very own limited series) and knew I was going to love X-Factor! And it's great. So when I got done reading issue 38 yesterday I couldn't wait to get 39. I read a review of for and saw some preview pictures at comicsbulletin. The writer for it, Peter David ♥, asks every one to not spoil whats inside. So the reviewer didn't say what happens. But gives a pretty clear indication at what does happen. Still a bit ambiguous though by saying it's sad and heartfelt. The baby could be deformed or something...
Today I picked it up, along with Spider-Man Noir #2 and Berserk Volume #2, at Atomic Comics (yay me! not a pirate anymore). It was amazing. Not like "Oh my god!" amazing. But... it was "an emotional, powerful issue" as Christopher Power put it. There was a great mix of high points and low points to this issue. Very shocking... Peter David also said the next 2 issue's will be dramatic too. I can't wait for them.
Everything in X-Factor has been great, especially the writing/story. Your awesome Peter. But some of the art hasn't been that great IMHO. I'm looking at you Larry Stroman. >:(
